This figure shows typical workover costs in the lifetime of a well,  which can be avoided by installing the ZEiTECS Shuttle.

The benefits apply not only to system failure when urgent recovery is essential to restore production, but also to situations where ESP performance becomes unsatisfactory at any time during runlife. Engineers will select the best system tuned to ensure optimal operation during the first few months of production, but well conditions will change. A drop in pressure, increased water cut, the presence of scaling and abrasives, increased sand or altered hydrocarbon content may all cause the ESP system to operate less efficiently.

Variable speed drives delay the inevitable, but as lift performance begins to suffer, the operator will have to choose between pulling and replacing the system or leaving the ESP in the well, performing inefficiently, until it fails. With the ZEiTECS Shuttle, an under-performing system (pump/motor & seal) can be retrieved and replaced at any time, quickly and at minimal cost.
